Abstract:
Field Maple (Acer campestreL.) represents one of the most variable of the forrest breeds with the wide climactic disposition meaning that it is extremely adaptable to various ecological conditions. It can be found in areas from north Africa to south Scandinavia and from Atlantic Ocena to mount, Ural, Caucasus and Caspian Lake. As such it represents a breed that could play a key role in adaptation of forrests to climate changes that become more evident each year. To better understand it's role in adaptation to the climate changes it is necessary to investigate it's morphological variability. Based on these results it will be possible to select material that can be used for production forrestry in changed ecological conditions. In this work we show the results of the research done the morphol;ogical variability of both furit and leaf in twenty five (25) natural popualtions located in B&H. Ten (10) properties of fruit and nineteen (19) of the leaf were analysed. The analysis showed that there a statistically notable and important differences for all researched perimeters and further discriminatory analysis found that populations from Hercegovina group together and also show notable diffreences and separation from the populations in Bosna and which is further presented by data from the cluster analysis. The results can be of great assistance in activities for further breeding as well as with the preservation of genetical variability of both in situ and ex situ methods.
